Nathan Zwirn

Nathan is a documentary photographer and videographer student whose work explores the intersection of history and human impact on the environment. His practice is driven by a fascination with overlooked people and places, and the stories embedded deep within them. His work is often focused on industrial decline, environmental conservation, and the stories kept out of view. His project Sleeping Beast: The Edward G. Budd Manufacturing Plant, a visual document of the abandoned factory shot on 4x5 film, was recognized by the Photographic Society of America as part of its national student scholarship program.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, he splits his time between the city and the forest. Currently, he studies photography and journalism at Drexel University in Philadelphia and is editing an Atlantic Salmon conservation film he directed and shot Summer of 2025.
